Sarcoxie High School wins NASP Championship

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) congratulates Missouri student archers and teams on their competition efforts at the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) Open and NASP Championship tournaments June 10-12 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The NASP Open and Championship are open to NASP students from around the world. Students compete in Bullseye and/or 3D archery competitive shooting and may compete as part of their school’s team or as individuals.

Missouri student archers competed as members of the Missouri National Archery in the Schools Program (MoNASP). MoNASP is coordinated through MDC, the Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation, and the Conservation Federation of Missouri in partnership with more than 800 participating schools and numerous supporting organizations throughout the state.

More than 85,000 Missouri students participate in the MoNASP program. It is an affiliate of NASP and is an in-school program for grades 4 through 12 that teaches the basics of archery, along with confidence, self-control, patience, and discipline to success both behind the bow and in school and life.
