Carthage Schools Welcome Kim Hoover as New Bright Futures Coordinator

CARTHAGE, Mo. — Carthage School District is excited to announce the appointment of Kim Hoover as the new Carthage Bright Futures Coordinator/Homeless Liaison. With a robust background in education, community engagement, and pastoral leadership, Kim brings a wealth of experience and passion to her new role, furthering the district’s commitment to empowering students and fostering their academic and personal success.

Kim Hoover’s professional journey is marked by her dedication to education and community service. From 2019 to 2024, she served as the Lead Pastor in Moberly, MO, where she innovated, implemented, monitored, and evaluated new ministries in collaboration with her team. Her tenure as the Carthage Bright Futures Coordinator from 2015 to 2019 showcased her ability to effectively communicate across multiple school buildings and address student needs, skills she honed earlier as a FACS Teacher at Carthage Jr. High School from 2002 to 2014. During this period, Kim designed, taught, and assessed engaging lessons tailored to diverse student learning styles.

In addition to her educational and pastoral work, Kim has a proven track record in volunteer recruitment, training, and engagement. She has successfully led groups ranging from five to forty volunteers, demonstrating her leadership and organizational skills. Her role as a motivational speaker for the Soroptimists of Carthage, Joplin, and regional meetings, underline her ability to inspire and motivate others.

Kim’s commitment to student and community development is further evidenced by her successful fundraising efforts. She has procured grant dollars and in-kind donations, underscoring her resourcefulness and dedication to supporting students and ministries alike. Her continuous pursuit of new and improved methods to communicate and inspire individuals in personal growth and generosity is a testament to her innovative spirit.
