CARTHAGE, Mo. — A Carthage Junior High School archer received a surprise Tuesday evening during archery practice. Mary Filbeck and James Filbeck made a special presentation, awarding a specially designed bow to CJHS Archer Kelsy Holden.

James received the bow as a prestigious prize for being named a top archer in MoNASP (Missouri National Archery in the Schools Program) during the years 2018 and 2019. With exceptional achievements, he secured the remarkable 2nd Place Individual High School Male in 3D in 2018 and went on to clinch the prestigious 1st Place Individual High School Male in 3D in 2019.

As a testament to his dedication and outstanding performance, James decided to donate the bow he designed to another promising archer, and Holden was chosen for this honor.
