Danny Lambeth, member of the Carthage Community Foundation’s board, received a Board Member Award of Excellence from the Community Foundation of the Ozarks.

Lambeth was one of five board leaders within the CFO’s network of regional affiliate foundations honored during a virtual affiliate meeting on May 13. Typically announced at an annual conference in the fall, the awards were postponed due to the pandemic.

“After his term as board president ended, Danny didn’t slink off into the night, but instead took on the role of the GRO Carthage chairman,” said Heather Collier, CCF foundation coordinator. Lambeth was nominated by Collier, Jeff Williams and Chuck Bryant. “Danny has worked tirelessly to advance economic development and coordinate nonprofit services throughout Carthage.”

“Great leaders make our affiliate foundations more successful, which in turn make the communities they serve so much stronger,” CFO President Brian Fogle said. “With such a deep dedication to their community, they know how philanthropic resources can be best used to improve the lives of their neighbors.”

Carthage Community Foundation, founded in 1999, is one of the CFO’s 53 regional affiliate foundations. The CFO is a regional public charitable foundation established in 1973 that provides asset and resource development, grantmaking and public leadership across central and southern Missouri.
