CARTHAGE, Mo. — The Carthage Chamber of Commerce will kick off 2024 with a new luncheon series focusing on women in the workforce. This monthly luncheon series will kick off on January 10th from 12-1 pm. Each month will feature a different topic/guest speaker geared to enhance, inspire, and provide personal development within the workplace. This will lead up to our EmPOWERing Women in Business Conference that will be held on May 8th in Carthage at the Memorial Auditorium.

“Our focus for this women’s group is to come together, network, and hear from other women leaders across the area how they rose to success within their industry while juggling life’s daily challenges,” stated Julie Reams, President of the Carthage Chamber. “These monthly sessions are to be informative and will have a range of topics monthly from health & wellness, faith & family, and women-owned small business strategies for in-home or brick & mortar businesses. We have a wide range of topics planned throughout 2024, including our annual conference in May,” Reams added.

The first guest speaker will be Chelsey Bode, the CEO of Pearson-Kelly Technology. Her impactful story of her rise within the printing/technology industry will be impactful to all attendees. Attendees will hear how she has worked her way to the top to be named the Industry Women Influencer of 2023 from the Cannata Report as this is just one of her many accolades.
