The voting period for The Four States Finest, the viewer’s choice awards for KOAM-TV, FOX 14 and KOAM News Now, begins Thursday, February 18 and continues through March 7. Viewers can vote for their favorite businesses and organizations in 90 different categories.
“There are 254 finalists representing 30 communities in the 4-State region,” according to KOAM General Sales Manager Rye Addis, “and each voting category has three-to-five finalists for viewers to choose from.” The categories include Eating & Drinking, Arts & Entertainment, Health & Fitness, Services, and Shopping.
Following the voting period those businesses with the most votes will be presented with a Four States Finest plaque and will be featured on-air and at the station’s website www.KoamNewsNow.com/Finest.
Carthage has 19 businesses represented in the finals of the promotion:
66 Drive-In Theatre in the Best Movie Theater category.
Bamboo Garden Restaurant in the Best Asian Restaurant category.
Best Western Carthage in the Best Hotel/B&B category.
Big Ben’s BBQ Station in the Best BBQ Restaurant category.
Boomers BBQ and Catering in the Best BBQ Restaurant and Best Catering categories.
Carthage Eye Care in the Best Eye Clinic category.
Carthage Family Restaurant in the Best Breakfast category.
Food Truck Friday in Central Park in the Best Festival/Local Event category.
Hurricane Car Wash in the Best Car Wash group.
Liberty Tree Guns in the Best Hunting/Fishing Store category.
Lucky J Boots & More in the Best Western Store category.
Mini-Gastric Bypass, Dr. Hargroder, in the Best Weight Loss Clinic/Counseling category.
Mother Road Coffee in the Best Coffee category.
Orient Express Delivery in the Best Asian Restaurant and Best Curbside/Takeout categories.
Powers Museum of Carthage in the Best Museum/Gallery category.
Race Brothers Farm & Home Supply in the Best Western Wear Store category.
Saint Luke’s Nursing Center in the Best Assisted Living/Retirement Facility category.

Area residents may vote in each category each day during the voting period with a chance to win in the Four States Finest contest. There will be weekly $100.00 winners from all viewers who cast votes. These winners will be randomly chosen from all qualified entrants.
