Carthage Chamber Presents Awards
Carthage, Missouri – The Carthage Chamber of Commerce presented its annual awards on Thursday, April 6, 2021, during a live Facebook presentation. As with most events this past year, in lieu of the annual banquet, which is normally held in January, an awards ceremony to honor those individuals who have stood out in their respective fields for 2020 was held.

Citizen of the Year Elizabeth Simmons Carthage Rotary Club
Given in memory of the late Senator Richard M. Webster, the Citizen of the Year Award is presented in recognition of demonstrated devotion to the Carthage community.
Community Enhancement The Tin Cup Leggett and Platt
Presented to recognize an organization, committee, group, or individual that has contributed significantly to make our community a better place to live.
Emerging Leader Mike Zeiter Fair Acres Family YMCA
This award is presented in recognition of individuals who further their career path or begin a new career path.
Small Business Tropical Smoothie Maple Leaf Music
Presented to one business each year that has provided a positive image and been a vibrant entity within the Carthage business community.
Spotlight American Family Insurance- Jeff Hodkin The Gaderian
Awarded to one business each year that has contributed to the overall enhancement of the business community of Carthage through revitalization or improvements made to their business location.
Vision Carthage Volunteer Paula Richardson Vision Carthage
Presented by Vision Carthage in recognition of time given to help Vision Carthage achieve its mission to beautify and enhance our community.
Humanitarian of the Year Mercy Hospital Carthage McCune Brooks Healthcare Foundation Staff and Volunteers Presented in recognition of improvements to healthcare in the Carthage community.
