Scott Moore has been selected Head Girl’s Basketball Coach for Carthage High School. Coach Moore was most recently the head girl’s basketball coach at Heritage High School in Rogers, Arkansas. In total, Coach Moore brings with him 20 years high school & college basketball coaching experience.
Moore’s previous basketball experience includes:
- Director of Women’s Basketball Operations for the Missouri State Lady Bears for three years;
- six years as assistant coach for North Greenville University Women’s Basketball team;
- Western Carolina University one year as assistant coach & director of operations for women’s basketball and Graduate Assistant for one year;
- Montello High School head girl’s basketball coach for four years in Montello, Wisconsin.
His experience with coaching and working with athletes of all grades in the university basketball camps will aid Coach Moore as he works to continue the development of girl’s basketball at all levels and ages for Carthage.
Upon his hiring, Moore is excited to return to Missouri and specifically Carthage. “I would like to thank the Carthage Administration for this wonderful opportunity. My family and I are excited to become members of the Carthage community and the Tiger family. I look forward to meeting the players, their parents and the staff to start building the relationships that will be the foundation of the program.”
Moore holds a Master’s Degree in Physical Education from Western Carolina University and a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Concordia University.
