“Too close for comfort” might be the most accurate phrase to describe Tiger Wrestling’s win over Webb City, Tuesday, January 22nd.  “This dual definitely showed us what we need to work on,” said Carthage Coach Kenny Brown.  “There were several matches that should have gone a little differently, but overall, I’m seeing definite improvement in the lineup.  With Dalen (Moore) and Dagan (Sappington) still out with injuries, I am pleased that we have the depth we do, allowing Mateo Kaempfe and Eli Sneed to step in to those varsity spots.  Webb has some tough kids and they definitely gave us a run for the money,” Brown said.

Bonus points by Carlos Reyes (113), Tanner Russow (120), Kelten Campbell (152), Brandon Crow (170), Colton Winder (195), Kale Schrader (220) and Brener Ocana (285) ultimately helped propel the Tigers to a 43-28 win over the Cardinals.  Carthage Wrestling is back in action at home Thursday, January 24th against McDonald County and Marshfield for Senior Night.
