One of Joplin’s fastest growing community events is set to take center stage once again this summer! JoMoCon, a Comic Con style pop culture convention will be having its third year at the Joplin High School on Saturday, July 20th from 10am to 8pm.
Four States residents of all ages are welcome to come celebrate interests ranging from anime and gaming to comics and art. This year’s convention will be “leveled up” with some exciting new features, including a Live Action Role Playing (LARP) Arena, a full service Maid Cafè, and an expanded vendor hall. JoMoCon is also proud to present two premier guests: voice actor Aaron Campbell who has been featured in anime such as Blue Lock and WIND BREAKER, as well as voice actress Alejandra “Alex” Cazares, the renowned voice of Rebecca from the Netflix series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
JoMoCon is in fact a charity fundraiser. This year, the proceeds will be donated to the Children’s Haven of Southwest Missouri; an organization providing safe living accommodations for kids whose families are working through crises.
