Forrest A. Midcap, 86, passed away Friday, September 18, 2020, at his home in Carthage, MO. Forrest was born October 3, 1933, in New Martinsville, WV to William and Nellie “Goddard” Midcap. He was a truck driver for Tri-State Motors and Sitton Motors before retiring in 1997. Forrest was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Carthage.
Forrest was united in marriage to Betty White in May 1952 in New Martinsville, WV. On November 10, 2015, he was united in marriage to Anna M. Holliday in Webb City, MO after being together the previous five years; she survives.
Forrest is also survived by two sons, Charles R. Midcap (the late Susan Midcap) of Walnut Grove, MO and Danny L. Midcap (Laura) of Carthage; two step-sons, Jason Holliday (Melanie) of Joplin and Andrew Holliday (Cheryl) of Sarcoxie, MO; four grandchildren, Austin Midcap, Krissie Swearingin, D.J. Midcap and Jeremy Midcap; eight great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Suzy and Grayson Swearingin, Landyn, Keegan, Dallas, Christian and Noah Midcap; one sister-in-law, Sarah Midcap of Sistersville, WV.
Forrest was preceded in death by one son, Forrest A. Midcap, Jr. on October 25, 1974, and one brother, Jim Midcap.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at Ulmer Funeral Home, with the Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2020, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Burial will be at Fullerton Cemetery south of Carthage.
