Linda Bowers Golay passed away August 12, 2020, with her family by her side. She battled several illnesses the last four years.
Linda was born in Kansas City, Missouri and was raised in Neodesha, KS. She attended Neodesha High School and graduated in 1965. She attended Independence Community College and Independence Cosmetology School. She worked for Jasper County for 22 years as a Jasper County Deputy Auditor, where she retired. She owned and operated Mimi’s Gifts and Candies.
Linda was united in marriage to Patrick Edwin Golay in July 25, 1966. He survives. She is survived by two children Shelli Golay Ford of Joplin, Mo and Brad Golay and wife Krystel Golay of Carthage. Four grandchildren Kyleigh Adams of Joplin, Seth Golay of Carthage, Taylar Demery of Neosho and Dalton Ford of Grove, OK. She was blessed with six great-grandsons, and one sister Sharon Thompson of Kansas.
Private services will be held at the St. Ann’s Catholic Church, followed by a burial at Oak Hill Cemetery in Carthage, MO. Online condolences can be made at www.ulmerfh.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.
