Erma Faye Sanders, 85, passed away July 5, 2020, at St. Luke’s nursing home.
Erma was born in Carthage, Missouri August 28, 1934, to Lewis Burk Hewig and Bertha “Stansberry” Hewig. She was a payroll clerk for Big Smith. Erma loved to play games with her family, she loved crossword puzzles, quilting and sewing. She was of the Methodist faith.
Erma is survived by four daughters; Sherri Wampler of Carthage, Becki England husband Kevin of Neosho, MO, Vicki Crawford husband Greg of Carthage, MO, Tammi Byrne husband Timm of Waterford WI, Eight grandchildren Mindy, Josie, Halee, Heidi, Alex, Sheena, Mikala, Adam, nine great-grandchildren, two sisters; Cleva Knight husband Norman, and Betty Conway husband Jerry.
Erma is preceded in death by her parents and one sister Ruby Moore.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at Paradise Cemetery North of Carthage. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2020, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ulmer Funeral Home. Contributions can be made to St. Luke’s Nursing Home in care of Ulmer Funeral Home.
