Jack Leroy Wooldridge, 66, Joplin, MO, passed away early Friday morning, September 21, 2018 at Spring River Christian Village, Joplin, MO, with family by his side. Jack was born July 6, 1952 in Carthage, MO to the late William M. Wooldridge, Jr. and Muriel (Bryant) Wooldridge. He graduated from Truman High School, class of 1970. Jack was owner/operator of MCA Construction in Carthage for several years until he retired.
Jack was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, being a season ticket holder for almost 30 seasons. One thing that always brought a smile to his face was being at Arrowhead, tailgating, and talking football with those he loved. He also enjoyed taking rides on his Harley Trike. He was so excited when Harley was able to modify him a bike so he could get out and enjoy riding. Jack had a huge heart and would do anything to help anyone. One thing was for sure, if you were ever a guest at his house, you would always leave full of food and laughter.
Survivors include his wife, Shelly R. (Sullivan) Wooldridge, two daughters, Katie J. Crigger (Brian), Carthage, MO, and Zoe R. Lambert (Alex), Galena, KS; his mother, Muriel; two brothers, Bill M. Wooldridge (Debbie), Carthage, MO, and David W. Wooldridge (Kelly), Kansas City, MO; one sister, Vickie Daugherty, Carthage, MO; and one granddaughter, Joyce Judith “JJ” Crigger.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Dale.
