Fred Leeander Hamilton, 58, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.
Fred was born Aug. 7, 1961, in Carthage to Dale and Marie “Finley” Hamilton. After serving in the United States Army, he returned to Carthage and became a poultry farmer. Fred enjoyed fishing, walking and hunting for arrowheads.
Fred was united in marriage to Peggy Potter in January of 1985; she preceded him in death in 2010.
Fred is survived by his parents; one son, Joe Pratt of Carthage; one brother, Steve Hamilton; three sisters, Dayle Peterson (Michael), Gayle Hamilton and Debbie Delcohr (Tim); and several nieces and nephews, whom he adored.
Fred was preceded in death by one sister, Diane Cargile.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2020, at Ulmer Funeral Home.
