Naomi “June” Fuget, 90, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020, at her home in Carthage.
June was born March 27, 1929, in Carthage to Marshal Ralph L. Hooker and Naomi “Wright” Hooker. June was a lifetime resident of Carthage and a beautician for over 50 years. She was a member of Fairview Christian Church in Carthage and a member of the Eastern Star in Joplin.
June was united in marriage to James “Jim” S. Fuget on Aug. 29, 1966, in Miami, Okla; he preceded her in death on May 3, 1973.
June is survived by three daughters, Margaret Plummer (Jim) of Shawnee, Kan., Charlotte Rush of Joplin and Sandy Maldonado (Francisco) of Carthage; seven grandchildren, Amanda, Stacy, Alicia, Arik, Rachel, Hannah and Jamie, along with 12 great-grandchildren.
June was preceded in death by one brother, Sonny Hooker.
Graveside services will be held at 2 on Friday, Feb. 21, 2020, at Park Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow at 5 p.m. at Fairview Christian Church Chapel.
