On Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2020, Jasper County Sheriff deputies located a Chevy Colorado truck reported stolen from Bentonville, Ark., near the La Russell, Mo., area and initiated a pursuit. Spike strips were successfully deployed to deflate the tires at Elm and County Road 110. The vehicle stopped shortly afterward.
Two suspects, Lyle White (42, of Bella Vista, Ark.) and Tyler James (28 of Rogers, Ark.) were taken into custody without incident.
Located inside of the truck were stolen mail from the Carthage area and a white powdery substance.
Charges were sent to the Jasper County Prosecutor’s office.
The charges for which the above were arrested are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
