HAYS, Kan. – The Missouri Southern women’s basketball team went head-to-head with the Fort Hays State Tigers, falling 79-59 inside the Grossman Coliseum Thursday evening.

Senior Chelsey Henry recorded the first four points for the Lions (13-15, 5-13 MIAA) as she went on to finish the night with a team-high 12, on 5-of-11 shooting from the field.

Freshman Layne Skiles tied a career-high in points after scoring ten off the bench on a 3-for-5 spurt, including a 2-for-3 line from three-point range. Both Destiny Cozart and Chasidee Owens added nine points as well. MSSU’s bench outscored the Tigers 32-19 which Skiles and Cozart were key parts toward in holding that advantage.
