WEBB CITY, Mo. — With only one win by decision on the evening, the Carthage varsity men’s wrestlers pulled off a major win over Webb City Tuesday night at the dome. It was pin or be pinned, as Carthage accounted for six falls and four forfeit wins in the 60-21 victory.
The junior varsity did not fare as well, however, losing all of their matches to a strong Webb team at weight classes 157, 165, 215 and 285.
The ladies pulled out a squeaker, besting Webb City 37-36 in criteria after forfeits and wins left them tied at the end of the competition. As Carthage scored first, they were awarded the victory.
