Chi Van Nguyen passed away peacefully on November 6, 2024, in Euless, Texas, at the age of 73. Born on October 27, 1951, to Phung and An Nguyen, in Nam Dinh, Vietnam, Chi’s journey brought him to Fort Smith, Arkansas, where he established a life marked by devotion to his family, a passion for his work, and a commitment to his community. After working at LSG Sky Chefs for over 20 years, he retired and enjoyed spending time with his dogs, Roxy and Buster.

A man of faith, Chi was an active member of the Vietnamese Martyrs Catholic Church in Arlington, Texas. His involvement in the church community was a testament to his dedication to his spiritual life and to the support of his fellow parishioners. Chi’s love for the Lord was paralleled only by his love for his family.

Chi is survived by his beloved wife, Nisah Nguyen, and their two daughters, Thi Dang (Minh) of Hurst, Texas, and Nhi Blansett (Adam) of West Fork, Arkansas. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Alex Dang, Emily Dang, and Jackson Blansett, who will remember him for his loving guidance and the wisdom he imparted.

Beyond his family and faith, Chi was an avid handyman and was always willing to lend a helping hand to his neighbors and friends. His interests in electronics, engineering, and building were not just hobbies but a reflection of his creative spirit. He could often be found tinkering with a new project, a testament to his inventive mind and his ability to solve problems with grace and ingenuity.

Those who knew Chi will remember him as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His wise counsel and creative approach to life’s challenges left a lasting impact on everyone he met. Chi’s memory will be cherished and celebrated by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Funeral Mass will be held at 7:50 am Friday, November 15, 2024, at the Congregation of the Mother of the Redeemer Church. Burial will follow in the Park Cemetery, Carthage, Missouri. A prayer service will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 pm Thursday, November 14. 2024, at the Congregation of the Mother of the Redeemer Church.
