Barbara A. Theil, 94, of Carthage, Missouri passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2024. Barbara was born June 17, 1930, in Bridgeport, Nebraska to William Hess LaRue and Nellie A. LaRue. Barbara graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1948. She graduated from the Excella Beauty School (Rolla, MO) in 1957 and the C&E School of Commerce (Omaha, NE) in 1970.
She was joined in marriage to Donald Lee Theil on July 1st, 1949.
Barbara was a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary Post 2590. Barbara loved spending time with her friends at the “V”, playing pool, traveling and bowling.
Survivors include her son; Steve Theil (Julie) of Jasper, MO, her grandchildren; Ryan Theil (Kate) of Alton, IL, Kyle Theil of Godfrey, IL, Matt Theil of Jasper, MO, and Allison Thomas (Wesley) of Diamond, MO. Barbara had 9 Great-Grand Children and 1 Great-Great-Grand Child.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband Donald Theil; her son, Jerry Theil; and her sister Helen Bliss.
Barbara’s service will be at 10:00am Monday, October 28, 2024, at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage, MO. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Carthage, MO following the service.
