Roberta Ann Crihfield, 65, Carthage, Missouri, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2024, at her home with family by her side. She was born on March 9, 1959, in Irving, Texas, the daughter of the late Robert Minkler and Patricia (Glaze) Minkler. Roberta’s life was a testament to the passion and dedication she poured into every aspect of her existence.

Roberta’s early years were spent in the warm embrace of Texas, but it was in Carthage, Missouri, where she blossomed and became a cherished member of the community. A proud graduate of Carthage High School in 1977, she carried the spirit of her hometown throughout her life. She married the love of her life, Mike Crihfield, on August 21, 1978, in Miami, Oklahoma. Their partnership was a beautiful example of love and commitment. Together, they raised a family that became Roberta’s pride and joy.

Survivors include her husband of 45 wonderful years, Mike Crihfield; her children, Daniel Crihfield, Joplin, Missouri, Gabriel Crihfield (Amelia), Milo, Missouri, and Katrina Danner (Mike), Carthage, Missouri; her grandchildren, Tanisha, Trayvis, Nathan, and McKenzie; her great-grandchildren, Liam and Oliver; her mother-in-law, Jackie Crihfield; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law; and many extended family and friends. Roberta’s family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Gary Minkler and David Minkler.

In her role as a homemaker, Roberta excelled beyond measure. She took great pride in raising her children, ensuring they were nurtured in a home filled with love, laughter, and the comforting aroma of her cooking. Her famous cinnamon rolls were more than just a treat; they were a symbol of her love and the warmth she shared with everyone who had the pleasure of tasting them. Roberta’s love for cooking was just one facet of her passionate nature. She found joy in the simple act of preparing meals, seeing it as an opportunity to express her love and generosity to those she cared for. Her kitchen was not just a place for cooking; it was where bonds were strengthened, and memories were made.
