Carthage R-9 School Board Announces Wilson as new CJHS Assistant Principal

CARTHAGE, Mo. — Carthage Junior High School is proud to announce the appointment of Mr. Logan Wilson as the new Assistant Principal, effective July 1, 2024. With a diverse background in education and administration, Mr. Wilson brings a wealth of experience and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students.

Prior to joining Carthage Junior High, Mr. Wilson served as the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Branson R-IV Junior High. In this role, he supervised and monitored the growth of teachers and coaches, assisted with the implementation of Professional Learning Communities (PLC), and ensured the safety of Junior High facilities and daily routines. His dedication to supporting a positive school culture and learning environment has been evident throughout his tenure.

Before his time at Branson R-IV, Mr. Wilson contributed to the educational landscape of Carthage R9 as a teacher and coach for seven years. His roles included teaching United States History at the High School level, Geography at the Junior High level, Physical Education/Health for grades 7-8, and Math at the Carthage Intermediate Center. Additionally, Mr. Wilson served as a Health teacher at Seneca High School.

“We are very excited for Mr. Wilson to become the next assistant principal at Carthage Junior High,” said newly appointed CJHS Head Principal, Brittany Bridges. “Mr. Wilson brings over a decade of experience in education. His roles in teaching, coaching, and administration make him an invaluable asset to our team. Mr. Wilson works extremely hard, is always willing to help others, and has strong ties to CJHS that make him an exceptional choice for the next assistant principal.”

“My family and I are very excited to be returning to the Carthage community,” stated Mr. Wilson. “As Assistant Principal, it is my goal to help continually develop the rich academic and family culture of CJHS. I look forward to working alongside the teachers, staff, and families of Carthage Junior High for the betterment of our students.”

Mr. Wilson will be taking the place of longtime Carthage Junior High Assistant Principal, Dr. Regina Fields, as she will be retiring after 12 years of outstanding service as the Assistant Principal and CJHS Athletics and Activities Director. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Fields for her years of outstanding service and wish her well in her retirement.
