Carthage Community Foundation Spring Grants Round Opens March 18

CARTHAGE, Mo. — Carthage Community Foundation begins accepting applications for its spring grant round on Monday, March 18. Area 501(c)3 organizations and other IRS approved entities, such as civic, education or faith-based groups, serving the Carthage area, are eligible to apply. Grant application may be found online at https://www.cfozarks.org/affiliates/carthage.  All applications must be completed and submitted online by 11:45 pm on April 11.

CCF has interest in supporting organizations and projects which enhance the lives of Carthage residents and provide innovative solutions for existing and emerging community needs. Areas of funding focus include 1 – Health & Human Services, 2 – Education & Youth Services, 3 – Arts, Culture, History & Community Beautification, and 4 – Food & Nutrition. CCF prefers to provide grants for one-time initiatives and capital/equipment purchases, however, the Board will also consider operating expenses if a strong case is made for special circumstances. Total amount one applicant may request is $5,000.

During this grant period, separate applications will also be taken for the Vivian Leon Fund for the Musical Arts. This application may also be found online at https://www.cfozarks.org/affiliates/carthage. Eligible applicants are 501(c)3 organizations, schools and colleges that offer classical music programs, with an emphasis on piano performance, to the community and schools in Jasper & Newton Counties. The suggested range for grant proposals is $1,000 – $4,000. Deadline to apply is also April 11.
