David L. Hamilton died peacefully at his home Thursday, August 3, 2023, in Springfield, MO.

David was born in Springfield, Missouri, on January 29, 1947. He was a proud graduate of Parkview High School, Southwest Missouri State University, and Central Michigan University.
In 1969, he married the love of his life, Nichol, with whom he was married for 54 years.
David served in the Marine Corps Reserves.  He began his professional career with Missouri Probation and Parole, and then as an Investigator for the United States Public Defender’s Office in Springfield.
David is survived by his wife, Nichol; sons, Garrick (Katie) and Seth; grandchildren, Kellen, Ainsley, Carrigan, and Parker; brother, Robert (Paula); brother-in-law, John (Carol); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Earl Hamilton.
Services will be Friday, August 11, 2023, 11 am, at St. James Episcopal Church in Springfield, MO.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to St. James Episcopal Church in Springfield, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Rockport, or to Ozark Greenways.
