Harry U. Howard was called to be with his Lord and Savior on June 22, 2023.

He was born to the late Chuck and Grace Howard on July 17, 1934, and was a lifelong area resident.  Harry was a graduate of the University of Missouri at Columbia and was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army.

Harry was employed by Schreiber Foods and after 38 years retired as Procurement Director.  While at Schreiber Foods he served a term as president of the Missouri Butter and Cheese Institute.  In 1982, Harry was commissioned an honorable Kentucky Colonel by Gov. John Brown Jr.  For many years, Harry treasured his time raising Hereford cattle and watching his St. Louis Cardinals. He was active in volunteer work in his community and church.

Harry married Marilyn Timmerman in 1957 and she survives.  Other survivors include two daughters; Kim Priddy and her husband, Walter; Kelly Radant and her husband, Robbie; grandchildren, Katharine Priddy McAden, Whitney Priddy Garrison, Ellison Grace Radant; two sisters, Barbara Denney and Charlotte Tusinger.

He was preceded in death by grandchildren, Avery Claire, Jacob Howard and Lillie Anne Radant.

There will be a visitation on Wednesday, June 28th from 5:00 to 6:00 pm at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage, Missouri. The funeral will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, June 29th at Risen Ranch Cowboy Church in Carthage.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions to Risen Ranch Cowboy Church of Carthage or the Carthage Humane Society.
