Norma Dean Ralston-Riley, 91, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away on June 18, 2023. Norma was born on December 17, 1931, in Carthage to Dean McDonald and Jewel (Hunt) McDonald. She worked as a dental assistant for many years after working at Schreiber Foods. Norma enjoyed gardening, fishing, bingo, and time with her family.
Norma was united in marriage to Thomas Riley April 6, 1988, in Las Vegas, Nevada; he survives.
Norma is survived by her husband; one son, Charles “Chuck” Ralston (Vicki) of Carthage, Missouri; two stepsons, John Riley (Terresa) of Carthage, Missouri and Jerry Riley of Florida; two stepdaughters, Jane Poole (Leonard) of Carthage, Missouri and Ashley McComb of Washington; two sisters, Mary Jane Stewart of Washington and Bertha Crowe of Carthage, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Norma is preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Ralston in 1984; two sons, Lynn Ralston and James Ralston; her parents, Dean and Jewel McDonald; two brothers, Fred McDonald and Robert McDonald; and one sister, Peggy Turner.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage, Missouri. The inurnment will be at Park Cemetery at a later date.
