CARTHAGE, Mo. — Naomy Enriquez, a 2022 graduate of Carthage High School, has been selected to receive the Thelma Stanley Jayhawk Scholarship, administered by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks. The $4,000 scholarship will help Enriquez’s efforts to continue her education.

Enriquez, the daughter of Delma Cifuentes and Amilcar Enriquez, is attending Missouri State University to study cell and molecular biology and Spanish.

“I am so thankful to have received this scholarship! My goals for the future have become more possible because of the generous donor,” Enriquez says. “Without them and the constant support of my family, none of this would be possible. It gave me less of a financial strain and more time to focus on my career path. I plan to work hard and make my dreams into reality. Thank you to the Thelma Stanley Jayhawk Scholarship for giving me the opportunity to reach my goal of becoming a physician.”
