Stephen L. Winans, 63, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2022 in Carthage, Missouri. Stephen was born April 20, 1958 in Aurora, Missouri to Edward Winans and Marie Trenary. Stephen was a longtime resident of Carthage, Missouri. He worked at Leggett and Platt as a fork lift operator.
Stephen is survived by three sons, Daniel Winans of Carthage, Missouri, Stephen Winans of Carthage, Missouri, and Malcolm Robertson of Carthage, Missouri; two grandchildren, Stephen Winans of Columbia, Missouri and Carletta Winans of Carthage, Missouri; two sisters, Dianne Sommerfield of Carthage, Missouri and Jeanette Ogle of Oronogo, Missouri; and his father, Edward Winans of Carthage, Missouri.
Stephen is preceded in death by his mother, Marie “Trenary” Anderson and his brother, Stanley Allen Winans.
A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 11, 2022 at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage, Missouri.
