Robert William Gooch, 81, Carthage, MO, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at Carthage Health & Rehab, Carthage, after a short illness. Robert was born December 8, 1936 in Joplin, MO to the late Willie Gooch and Vada (McKinney) Gooch. He passed Nov 5, 2018 in Carthage after a short illness. He lived his life in the Joplin area. Robert was a veteran of the US Army.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Mary Stephens Gooch of Reeds; two sons, Terry Gooch and Michael Gooch; one sister, Ruth, of Carthage; one sister-in-law, Linda; two stepsons, one stepdaughter, two grandchildren, two step granddaughters, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers.
