CARTHAGE, Mo. — The Lady Tiger basketball team extended their win streak to four games in a decisive 51-19 win over Central Tuesday. Carthage jumped out to an 8-0 lead and never looked back.

“We came out with great energy on both ends of the floor tonight. I was really proud of our defense holding Central to just 19 points in the game,” Head Coach Scott Moore said.

“The girls were extra focused tonight because Senior Lauren Choate needed 11 points to get to 1,000 for her career,” added Moore. “She got that early in second quarter, which is great to celebrate her in front of our home fans.”

“This milestone symbolizes Lauren’s consistent excellence on the court and we are honored that she is a Carthage Lady Tiger,” said Moore.

The last Lady Tiger to hit this mark was Kianna Yates in 2022.

Choate led all scorers with 15 points. Maggie Boyd finished with 10 points, Lexa Youngblood had 8 points, Halle Endicott added 7, Jaidyn Brunnert had 5 points and Ashlyn Brust, London Shepherd and Adalee Gober finished with 2 points each.

The Lady Tigers are now 7-4 on the season and head to Glendale on Thursday.
