Lady Tiger Basketball Falls to CJ in Season Opener

CARTHAGE, Mo. — The Lady Tigers opened their season at home against Carl Junction Tuesday. Carthage (0-1) fell to the Bulldogs 45-32.

“I’m really proud of the effort from our girls tonight. We are young, so we are learning the varsity speed of things with each minute we play,” CHS Head Coach Scott Moore said.

Zoe Williams led the Tigers in scoring with 12 points. Halle Endicott finished with six points while Kaidence Stiles, Allie Brown and Isamar Rodas each finished with four points. Riley Cochran added two points to round out the scoring for Carthage.

“They are a very coachable group of girls, so they get better with every rep in practice and every possession in games,” added Moore.

Carthage will host the Carthage Lady Tigers Shootout next week.
