Judy Ann Hill, age 74, Carthage, Mo., passed away early Sunday morning, Jan. 5, 2020, at her home with family by her side.
Judy was born September 13, 1945 in Carthage to the late Warren J. Shore and Beulah (Ritchie) Shore. She was a 1963 graduate of Carthage High School and later received her associate degree from Joplin Junior College. Judy married the love of her life, LeRoy Hill, on June 10, 1972 in Carthage. She worked as secretary for Locarni Marble in Carthage and was a life-long board member and manager of the Historic Phelps house for 30 years. She was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church in Carthage. Judy’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, LeRoy Hill; a son, Jason Hill and fiancée Tricia Blankenship and children Joshua and Elizabeth, Carthage; one brother, Joseph Shore, Ontario, Canada; and four grandchildren, Hannah Hill, Joshua Hill, Caleb Hill and Anna-Grace Hill.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020, at Knell Mortuary, Carthage. The family will receive friends from 9:30 am until service time. Interment will follow the service at Park Cemetery, Carthage. Memorial gifts are suggested to the Historic Phelps House Endowment Fund in care of Knell Mortuary.
