Galena Police Department: Death of Carthage woman still being investigated

GALENA, Kan. — On Saturday, October 26th, at approximately 5:45 p.m., the Galena Police Department responded to a report of a death at 321 Clark Street.

Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive individual later identified as Stacy Miner, 50, of Carthage, MO. The coroner pronounced Ms. Minor deceased at the scene.

The cause of death is currently under investigation, but preliminary findings indicate no signs of foul play. Next of kin have been notified.

Police are still actively investigating all circumstances surrounding this case and encourage anyone with further information to contact the Galena Police Department.
