6-year-old Carthage boy flown to Mercy Springfield after ATV accident

A 6-year-old Carthage boy was injured in a one-vehicle accident 9:30 p.m. Sunday on Dispatch Road two miles south of Carthage.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a Zhejiang ATV driven by 6-year-old Carthage boy struck a concrete driveway ejecting the boy.

The boy was airlifted to Mercy Springfield to be treated for serious injuries.
