Patrick Davis, MU Extension Livestock Field Specialist, described the 107th SW MO All Breeds Performance Tested Bull Sale as “a strong steady sale.” During this event, 24 bulls sold for an average price of $7,058 each. While this figure is about $70 less per bull than the average from the fall 2025 sale, it was $1,600 higher than the spring 2025 sale average per bull. The sale included 22 Angus bulls, which averaged $6,895 each, and 2 Sim-Angus bulls that averaged $8,850 per animal.
Davis notes that the high selling Angus bulls came from established consignors. The highest selling Angus bull, offered by Naylor Angus in Buffalo, MO, was purchased by James Leuker of Louisburg, MO for $9,000. The second-highest selling Angus bull, from Jerry Pyle of XL Angus in Seneca, MO, went to Dale Dunseth of Halfway, MO for $8,800.
Davis reports that bulls from a new Sim-Angus consignor performed strongly at the sale. Joe Garretson of Three Cedar Farm in Sedalia, MO, participated for the first time in the tested bull sale, successfully selling two Sim-Angus bulls for $9,000 and $8,700. The winning bidders were Jeff Schoen of Springfield, MO, and Jeff Hostetler of Everton, MO, respectively.
