Together for 80: Schreiber Foods Celebrates 80 Years with $160,000 Impact Grant to Fight Hunger

As Schreiber Foods celebrates its 80th anniversary, the company is honoring this milestone with purpose by continuing its long-standing commitment to Doing Good Through Food®. In conjunction with its 4th annual company-wide Week of Giving, Schreiber is proud to announce a $160,000 impact grant to support hunger relief efforts locally and globally.

The donation includes $80,000 to Feeding America, the largest hunger-relief organization in the United States, and $80,000 to Rise Against Hunger, a global nonprofit committed to ending hunger worldwide.

“This milestone anniversary is a moment to reflect on the people and communities who’ve supported us over the past eight decades,” said Schreiber President and CEO Ron Dunford. “We’re grateful for the opportunity to give back in a way that aligns with our values and helps nourish others.”

Feeding America and Rise Against Hunger will work with Schreiber to allocate the donation across all locations, ensuring the funds directly support food banks and hunger-relief programs in the regions where Schreiber offices and plants are located. This contribution will help provide thousands of meals to families facing food insecurity, especially as communities prepare for the upcoming holiday season.

“Schreiber’s commitment to fighting hunger is inspiring,” said Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, CEO of Feeding America. “Thank you for thinking of our mission as you considered the many places you could give. This gift will be an incredibly impactful investment in thriving communities. On behalf of our Feeding America network, I am deeply grateful.”

Schreiber’s Week of Giving rallies thousands of partners around the world to volunteer, donate, and serve their communities through hands-on outreach. As part of this global effort, Schreiber welcomed Rise Against Hunger to its Home Office in Green Bay, Wis., where partners packed meals and presented a donation to advance the organization’s mission.

“This donation is a powerful step toward ending hunger,” said Greg Roche, Regional Philanthropy Manager of Rise Against Hunger. “These meals will reach thousands of people, with a special focus on women who are caring for children and facing the challenges of prenatal care. Schreiber’s support brings hope and helps families move from hunger toward lasting resilience.”

“Giving back is part of our DNA,” said Dunford. “Whether it’s through our products, our customers, or our people, we’re committed to making a difference.”
