CARTHAGE, Mo. — The Carthage based I’m Diggin’ It Metal Detecting Club met at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Carthage Braum’s for their July monthly meeting.
The club discussed and showcased some of their finds from the previous month. Finds from the previous month are eligible to enter to win a prize, with the winner voted on by the members in attendance.
Category winners for July were:
Civil War: None entered
Jewelry: Ambree Hoover, initial ring
Nicest Coin: Ambree Hoover, 1937 S Quarter
Oldest Coin: Jarrod Miller, 1903 Indian Head Penny
Relic: Tom Bayless, Vintage Parry Carriage Manufacturing Company Tag
Token: Ambree Hoover, Chinese Token
Toy: David Hoover, Vintage Toy 4-Wheeler
Each category winner receives a silver dime as a prize.
Members present were: President Tom Bayless, Treasurer David Hoover, Ambree Hoover and Jarrod Miller.
After the meeting, members went and hunted around the Carthage area. A good time was had by all.
