Southwest Missouri I’m Diggin’ It Metal Detecting Club Meeting March 2026

CARTHAGE, Mo. — The Carthage based I’m Diggin’ It Metal Detecting Club met at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Carthage Braum’s for their monthly meeting.

The club members discussed and showcased some of their finds from the previous month. Finds from the previous month are eligible to enter to win a prize, with the winners for each category voted on by the members in attendance.

Category winners were:

  • Civil War: Fired Sharps Bullet, Logan Myers
  • Jewelry: Solid Gold Ring, Tom Bayless
  • Nicest Coin: 1886 O Morgan Silver Dollar, Tom Bayless
  • Oldest Coin: 1907 Barber Dime, Tom Bayless
  • Relic: Vintage Cross Pendant, Jarrod Miller
  • Token: Chandler & Son 10¢ Trade Token, Tom Bayless
  • Toy: Vintage Matchbox Crane, Tom Bayless

Each category winner receives a silver dime as a prize.

Members present were: President Tom Bayless, Treasurer David Hoover, Bill Hawkins, Jerry Harris, Jarrod Miller, George Pinkley and Logan Myers.

The club purchased silver dimes from members for use as prizes for the monthly meetings.

After the meeting, members went and hunted around the area. A good time was had by all.

The next meeting will be held Saturday, April 7, 2026 at Braum’s. Don’t forget your finds.
