Southwest Missouri I’m Diggin’ It Metal Detecting Club Meeting January 2026

CARTHAGE, Mo. — The Carthage based I’m Diggin’ It Metal Detecting Club met at 8 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, at the Carthage Braum’s for their monthly meeting.

The club discussed and showcased some of their finds from the previous month. Finds from the previous month are eligible to enter to win a prize, with the winners for each category voted on by the members in attendance.

Members present were: President Tom Bayless, Treasurer David Hoover, Jarrod Miller and Logan Myers.

Category winners were:

  • Civil War: M1841 Mississippi Rifle Bullet, Jarrod Miller
  • Jewelry: Rose pin, Jarrod Miller
  • Nicest Coin: None entered
  • Oldest Coin: None entered
  • Relic: 1972 Optimist Youth Center Tag, Logan Myers
  • Token: None entered
  • Toy: Toy Car, Tom Bayless

Each category winner receives a silver dime as a prize.

After the meeting, members went and hunted north of Carthage. A good time was had by all.

The next meeting will be held Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026 at Braum’s. Don’t forget your finds.
