Southwest Missouri I’m Diggin’ It Metal Detecting Club Meeting February 2026

CARTHAGE, Mo. — The Carthage based I’m Diggin’ It Metal Detecting Club met at 8 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, at the Carthage Braum’s for their monthly meeting.

Club dues were collected for the year. The club members discussed and showcased some of their finds from the previous month. Finds from the previous month are eligible to enter to win a prize, with the winners for each category voted on by the members in attendance.

Members present were: President Tom Bayless, Treasurer David Hoover, Bill Hawkins, Matt Barrett, Jerry Harris, Randy Miler, Jarrod Miller and Logan Myers.

Category winners were:

  • Civil War: Sharps Bullet, Jerry Harris
  • Jewelry: Vintage Pendant, Logan Myers
  • Nicest Coin: 1943 Mercury Dime, Tom Bayless
  • Oldest Coin: 1882 Indian Head Penny, Tom Bayless
  • Relic: Ford Model T Hubcap, Logan Myers
  • Token: Vintage Eagle Pool Hall 5¢ Trade Token, Logan Myers
  • Toy: Vintage Toy Airplane, Logan Myers

Each category winner receives a silver dime as a prize.

After the meeting, members went and hunted near Diamond. A good time was had by all.

The next meeting will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Braum’s. Don’t forget your finds.
