CARTHAGE, Mo. — The Carthage based I’m Diggin’ It Metal Detecting Club met at 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026, at Braum’s for their monthly meeting.
The club members discussed and showcased some of their finds from the previous month. Finds from the previous month are eligible to enter to win a prize, with the winners for each category voted on by the members in attendance.
Category winners were:
Oldest Coin: 1879 Indian Head Penny, Jarrod M.
Nicest Coin: 1922 Mercury Dime, Jarrod M.
Toy: Matchbox Race Card, Randy M.
Jewelry: Vintage Copper Bracelet, Randy M.
Relic: Vintage Copper Cup, Ambree H.
Token: None entered
Civil War: None entered
Each category winner receives a silver dime as a prize.
Members present were: Treasurer David H., Ambree H., Jarrod M., and Randy M.
After the meeting, members went and hunted in the area. A good time was had by all.
