Frankie Joe Peterson, 85, Russellville, Arkansas, passed away Thursday afternoon, December 3, 2020, at his home. Frankie was born March 31, 1935, in Georgetown, Texas, the son of Reuben and Laverne (Schumpert) Peterson. He was a 1953 graduate of Georgetown High School, Georgetown, Texas. Frankie married the love of his life, Betty Jo Cargill, on May 15, 1954. He worked as plant manager of Fred’s Frozen Foods in Carthage. Frankie enjoyed piddling around the house, doing yard work, taking care of his cats, and always enjoyed giving everyone a hard time with a smile on his face, but most of all, he loved his family.
Survivors include four sons, Rick Peterson (Joslyn), Russellville, Arkansas, Mike Peterson (Janet), Carthage, Missouri, Terry Peterson (Michelle), Diamond, Missouri, and Scott Peterson (Christine), Russellville, Arkansas; a daughter, Vicki Munson (Wesley), White Lake, Michigan; a sister, Betty Bridges, Santa Maria, California; thirteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and many extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Reuben Peterson and Laverne Crider; his wife of 55 years, Betty Jo Peterson; and a grandson, Michael Peterson.
