The expanded 10th anniversary edition of 5:41: Stories from the Joplin Tornado by former Carthage Press managing editors Randy Turner and John Hacker is available now at Amazon.com.
5:41 features stories written by more than two dozen tornado survivors, as well as reporting from Hacker and Turner.
The 528-page book features more than twice as many photos as the original edition, more first-person accounts of the tornado experience, and chronicles the story of how Joplin, with help from neighbors and friends around the world, began the recovery process.
The book also includes the complete obituaries of those who lost their lives in the most damaging tornado to touch down in the United States in six decades.
5:41: Stories from the Joplin Tornado (10th Anniversary Edition) by Randy Turner and John Hacker will be available locally next month and is available now at Amazon.com.
