CJHS 8th Grade Varsity Defeats Ozark 24-0

This past Thursday, the Carthage 8th grade Junior High Football team defeated Ozark 24 – 0. Overall, the Defense played a great game getting a shutout against Ozark. Touchdowns in the game were scored by Colton Charleston in the 1st half, and by Karter Manzer and Brently Baker in the 2nd half. In the B game the Tiger also won the game 14 – 6 with Anthony Manibusan scoring two touchdowns. Here is the score of the varsity game by quarters:

1st Quarter – 8 to 0

Colton Charleston scored on a one-yard run. The 2 pt. conversion was a pass from Karter Manzer to Colton Charleston.

2nd Quarter – 8 to 0

3rd Quarter – 8 to 0

4th Quarter – 24 to 0

Karter Manzer scored on a 30-yard run. The 2 pt. conversion was a pass from Manzer to Reid Kyte.

Brently Baker scored on an Interception and returned it 35 yards for a TD. The 2 pt. conversion was run in by Bryce Morris.

The Tigers are now 2-0 on the season and our next game is against Joplin next Thursday night with the game beginning at 5:30.
