Thomas Montgomery Simmons

Thomas Montgomery Simmons, 29, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026. Tom was born on January 8, 1997, to Douglas and Elizabeth Simmons. Tom was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church in Carthage and was employed as a railroad freight conductor at Missouri and Northern Arkansas. He was a kind man with a big heart and loved to play many sports including, bowling, golf, football and softball. Tom will be greatly missed by all his family and many friends.

He is survived by his parents; two brothers, Paul Matteo (Lisa) of New Jersey and Jay Simmons of Carthage; niece, Saoirse Matteo; and grandmother, Sandra Spradling Fritsch.

Tom was preceded in death by his grandparents; Don and Barbara Simmons and James Spradling.

A Memorial Mass for Tom at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Grace Episcopal Church in Carthage, Missouri. A reception will follow at the Parish House of Grace Episcopal Church.
