Shirley A. Hobson, 85, passed away October 2, 2019 at her home. Shirley was born August 25, 1934 in LaRussell, Missouri to James and Minnie Bell “Campbell” Richardson. She was a lifetime Carthage resident and worked as a cashier at Ramey’s for 20 years. Shirley was a member of the New Covenant Church.
Shirley was united in marriage to Connie L. Hobson October 12, 1952 in Granby, Missouri. He preceded her in death September 4, 2017.
Shirley is survived by one daughter Connie Grinstead of Oklahoma City, OK; one daughter-in-law Kathy Hobson of Joplin Missouri; four grandchildren Taylor, Brant, Kasey and Kari; seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and one son Rodney Hobson in August 2017.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday October 7, 2019 at New Covenant Church, Chapel road. Inurnment will be at Park Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.ulmerfh.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.
