Sharon was born January 9, 1939 in Carthage MO to her mother Wilma and father Elwood Warden. Her younger brother Bill would join the family in 1941. They enjoyed a simple and fulfilling life with a close-knit family that enjoyed fishing, cooking and family activities.

Sharon graduated from Carthage High School in 1959 and got her first degree from South West Missouri State University. Later, she received a Master’s Degree from the University of Pacific. Sharon started teaching at Edison High School in 1961 and retired after 41 years. During her tenure at Edison High, she Coached Girls and Boys Tennis, Girls Basketball and helped form the Table Tennis Club. She was PE Department Chairperson for many years and was a beloved teacher to many generations of children.

She was married twice and divorced. Upon retiring in 2002, she moved closer to her brother Bill and his wife Pat in Willis Texas. In Willis she formed a tight-knit social group from her Corinthian Point home owners association and enjoyed many relationships and activities with close friends.

Sharon always remembered her roots and enjoyed researching the family history and Genealogy of the Warden’s. She also served as Social Director at her Home Owners Association.

Her Brother Bill and his wife Pat, preceded her in death in 2013 and 2005. She is survived by her nephew Tom and his family in Houston, her niece Billie in Colorado and her nephew Patrick and his family in Minnesota.

She was known as “Sugar” by her beloved mother and father. But, affectionately (and lovingly) as “Crazy Auntie Sharon” by all her nieces and nephews! Her social graces and jovial, sweet nature made her a fast fiend to all!

Sharon lived to a spry 86 years old and died peacefully, surrounded by close friends. She will be laid to rest by family at the Diamond Cemetery, on Saturday 10/18/2025 at 11 a.m. All are welcome to attend.
