Maria Areli Alvarado Garcia, 35, of Carthage, Missouri passed away peacefully at her home on November 4, 2021 after a long battle with Leukemia. She was born in Quetzal Tenango Coatepeque, Guatemala on April 9, 1986 to Lorenzo Alvarado Gomez and Gliceria Garcia Romero. Maria was a homemaker who spent her life taking care of her four children.
Maria is survived by one son, Derqui Otoniel Barrios Alvarado; and three daughters, Meyli Barrios Alvarado, Allison Barrios Alvarado, and Saili Barrios Alvarado. Maria is preceded in death by her parents Lorenzo and Gliceria Alvarado.
A funeral is scheduled for Maria on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 6:00 to 10:00 PM at the St. Ann’s Catholic School Gym. A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Ulmer Funeral Home.
