Leonard E. Whisenhunt, long time Carthage resident, age 93, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019. He was preceded in death by his wife and love of his life, Lodema E. Whisenhunt.
Services are pending and will be arranged through Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Following Leonard’s retirement from Horner Waldorf/Stone Container in 1994 he and Dema returned to their home town of Sand Springs. They left a legion of friends and neighbors in Carthage, many of whom made the trip to Sand Springs to pay their respects following the loss of Dema. They were members of the Carthage Country Club where they enjoyed much golf and fellowship. He will be missed.
